Jesus asked his disciples the question “Will ye also go away?” John 6:67 Peter replied “Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of life” v68
In Peter’s words, we find three things for our consideration:
- the fact that we need someone to go to.
- the question ‘to whom shall we go?’
- the answer – only the Lord Jesus can really satisfy our needs because He alone can satisfy the human heart.
How grateful we should be for the preservation of His life-giving words in the New Testament.

Many people are puzzled as they read the Bible. What is God really like?
In the sermon today we will discover how all the great teachings of Scripture point to a consistently wonderful and gracious God. He wants us to love him and love one another because He loves us and He loves our friends.

A PowerPoint report will be presented regarding the church’s magnificent efforts in raising almost £21,000 for CAP humanitarian projects during 2009. Support will be sought for some new initiatives for 2010 in Albania, Egypt, and Lesotho.
Information will given regarding a joint Scottish/Irish work party which will engage in a school renovation programme in an impoverished Albanian village in July.
The sermon, based on Jude verse 3, is entitled “Earnestly Contending for the Faith”.
To successfully engage in this type of contest, Christians need to have a good defence, an ability to attack, and a good level of spiritual fitness.
They also need to be aware of the elements of their modern-day faith.
Come along and enjoy this two-part worship programme.

By the time you get to church on the day after Christmas, you may have forgotten about the funny Christmas present that you received from Auntie Matilda, or the aftershave/perfume that you will never be able to wear.
Many of us have stories of well meaning friends and relatives who have given us totally inappropriate gifts as a sign of their love. How do we respond to them, and how do we show appreciation for a gift we don’t like?
Along with singing great Christmas carols, today we are going to hear a very personal reflection on Mary’s experience as well as discovering the best Christmas gift of all.

Many of us for most of the time, take light for granted. It is not until we are stuck in the dark, or lose our sight that we suddenly realise how important it is to us.
Jesus said that He is the Light of the World. Today we will celebrate what that means for us, especially in the middle of the darkness of winter.

We live in a world of uncertainties. People worry about their jobs, their pensions, their health, global warming, crime, and a host of other things. Christianity has all but faded out of our society and many would suggest that its message is no longer relevant. But early Christians went to their deaths to torture and exile with the words on their lips “WE KNOW”. What did they know and does it have meaning and hope for us today?
