The Scottish Mission is organizing a weekend retreat for women at the Atholl  Centre, Pitlochry, PH16 5BX, from Friday evening 12th November to Sunday after lunch on 14th November.

Malika Bediako, the  South England  Conference Women’s Ministries Leader will be the visiting speaker, and the theme for the weekend is “Daughters of God, Lavished with His love”.  Karen Holford will also lead out in some prayer sessions.

Accommodation is in twin-bedded or family rooms, fully catered for a Vegetarian diet.

Cost is £80 per person, with a discount of £10 for students, over 60’s and the unwaged.  Please send a deposit of £25 per person, the balance to be paid by 15th September.  Cheques payable to ‘Scottish Mission of SDA’,  send your booking form and non-returnable cheque to Carole Peacock, Scottish Mission Office, SDA Church, Gwydyr Road, Crieff PH7 4BZ.  Last date for applications is June 5th as we  need to know who is coming to enable us to book enough places.

This last Tuesday prayer meeting in the series will be led by Pastor Bob Rodd, and will be the last until after the summer.

A time of concentrated prayer, held in the church every Wednesday evening.

Regular weekly meeting, every Tuesday in the church hall – informal group with discussion of a Bible passage and time to pray together.  All welcome.  If you come a few minutes early, we serve a hot drink and biscuit.

All gifts from God are meant to be a blessing to us.  Come and learn what blessings there are in ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ for members of the Crieff SDA Church.  This is a combined service by the Youth and Prayer departments of the church.  It is part of a week end of programmes looking at ‘The Lord’s Prayer’.

Sabbath afternoon 4:00pm “The Voice of Praise” ~ Praise, prayer, singing, special music, talk, testimonies, worship, by local and visiting Adventist friends.  6:00pm Buffet meal provided, and a time of fellowship.

Sunday morning 8:00am – 10:00am Prayer breakfast “What of the Future?” ~ Come and enjoy Llew’s special porridge as part of an appetising breakfast followed by a time of singing, devotional and prayer.

Come and join in a time of prayer, sharing and listening as we continue to look at what is at the heart of individual’s beliefs and the way God has led and continues to lead in people’s lives.

There is a meeting each week in the SDA church hall.

Come and hear Andy Campbell, who is a member of the Church of Scotland, as he tells of what is at the heart of his belief, and what makes him passionate about his church.  There will be time for discussion and prayer.  All welcome.

Guest speaker for today is one of the Scottish Mission pastors, from Aberdeen.  This weekend has a prayer emphasis and today Ps Mc Cormac and Mrs Karin Edwards, Scottish Mission Prayer Sponsor, will lead out in the service.  His sermon title is ‘Do not Worry’, and is part of the themed weekend ‘Discover God in your Daily Life’.

The new autumn series of prayer meetings starts with a series entitled ‘What I wish you knew about the heart of my church’s belief’.

This will consist of talks about the reasons why people are passionate about their church.  The majority of the sessions will be by Adventists, but some non-adventists have also been invited to talk about the passion they have for their churches, and I pray we can learn from them.

About a month ago I read Philip Yancy’s book ‘The Jesus I never knew’ and this has conveniently provided a basis for the series. As we continue this series, I invite you to join us on selected Tuesday nights to “meet Jesus” afresh.
