Our Church can be found in the small town of Crieff, in the beautiful Scottish county of Perthshire
Our aim and vision is to be a community that reflects faith in God demonstrated by faith in our fellow men and
women, thus honouring the command of the Lord Jesus found in passages such as John 13:34,35 "A new command
I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know
that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

President Obama and Daniel 2
It was fascinating to watch the historic inauguration of President Obama a few days ago. The story of Obama’s rise from his African past to become the leader of the most powerful nation on earth is the inspirational American dream at its best and this event stated for all to [...]

Three years ago, in 2006, we started the CAP program. It was always our intention to review our projects after three years so today we’re looking back at the ROPE and CAKE projects.
The big picture: Over the 3 year period £24,000 was given from church budget (the single biggest line item in that budget). £16,674.22 [...]

Roseto and Prayer
This month sees probably the first ‘Prayer Retreat’ in the SM. That has got me thinking about a connection between Jesus’ advice to enter your closet and close the door and a town called Roseto*.
Roseto Valfortore is a very small mountaintop town of approximately 1317 residents in the province of Foggia in [...]

On the Lookout for Grace
Acts 11:23, 24. When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people [...]

Responses to the Financial Crisis – Standing “from a distance” or standing “firm”
Over the past few days of financial crisis, the words of two 1st century Biblical writers seem to have a 21st century application –
James 5:1-8 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. [...]

Also: A further £200 went to ROPE and a big transfer of £7055 went to the CAKE project in Lesotho.

A Response to Sunshine – watch yourselves and pray!
Karin and I have just returned from an enjoyable break, by the sun drenched shores of Lake Balaton, Hungary. One afternoon as we walked among the hundreds of walrus-like tourists thronging the lake shore, I was struck by an anomaly – these myriad sun seekers were [...]

….and they lived happily ever after
Once upon a time … is the way every good story starts. And as soon as you begin a story like that everyone knows how it will end – whether the story is about Frodo Baggins, the 3 little pigs, Snow White, or the dark knight Batman – and [...]

Someone asked me recently “What are the big hot potatoes in the church at present?” I have mulled on the topic since and find it would be easy to say things like – the ordination of women, abortion, homosexuality, music etc. But on reflection I find myself thinking that the really ‘hot potato’ isn’t an [...]
