From CAP chairman, John Arthur: On behalf of the CAP committee I would like to thank you most heartily for the way in which you helped in achieving our goals for 2009, when an amazing sum of £ 20,776 was raised. This was almost £ 8,000 in excess of the budget – which is even more commendable considering the impact of the recession.

Today’s service is a CAP emphasis and update day.

We’ve got updates from Maluti and Albania, we’ve got (more-or-less) the complete accounts for 2009, and lots of other good stuff.

Come along and spend your money on the produce from this mornings harvest festival plus bric-a-brac.  Help us raise money for the CAP programs.

  • 6pm.  Pot luck tea
  • 7pm.  The auction begins…

Please bring good, sale-able items to Moyra…

CAP ~ November 22nd CAP day

Three years ago, in 2006, we started the CAP program.  It was always our intention to review our projects after three years so today we’re looking back at the ROPE and CAKE projects.

The big picture: Over the 3 year period £24,000 was given from church budget (the single biggest line item in that budget).  £16,674.22 came from other donations.  Which gives us a total of £40,674.22.  That’s a big number…

CAKE (The Crieff African Kids Enterprise)

By way of an introduction here’s video produced by an American Adventist Church who have also pledged to help at Maluti Hospital…

More to follow explaining where the CAP money went…

ROPE (Romanian Old Persons Enterprise)

Again, more pics and details to follow…

CAP ~ October 2008 contributions

With the auction and other giving £604 were added to the CAP funds.

CAP ~ September 2008 contributions

CAP was £246 richer this month.

CAP ~ August 2008 contributions

Summertime.  Sort of.  A yellow thing appeared in the sky so we gave some more money to CAP. £383 to be precise.

Also: A further £200 went to ROPE and a big transfer of £7055 went to the CAKE project in Lesotho.

CAP ~ July 2008 contributions

Has it stopped raining?  No?  Hmmm.  £103 added to the CAP coffers…

CAP ~ June 2008 contributions
